Clowns Without Borders South Africa is thrilled to welcome to the organisation our new programme manager, Hannah Mangenda. Hannah comes to us after years of experience working in the field of drama and intervention. She is joining the Clowns Without Borders family to help us develop, monitor, and evaluate our many arts-based programmes for affected children and families. She also brings to our organisation her wonderfully playful attitude and immense capacity to connect with people of all walks of life. We are extremely fortunate to have her onboard!
Hannah has been involved in performance since high school, specialising and gaining experience over the years in the field of Applied Theatre. Her main interest lies in the intersection of education, development and the arts, the ways in which they can reinforce each other and the philosophies underlying them. Her love of communication has also led to her being a lecturer and tutor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (Drama & Performance Studies, German, English) and given her extensive experience teaching and facilitating in a variety of cultural, political, and psychosocial settings. Having a holistic outlook on life, she sees her work as fully integrated with her service in the Bahá’í community and her role as wife and mother to two children. Welcome to the Clowns!
