ABOUT

Project Know Your Rights was developed to support the 16 days of Activism campaign; a performance tour was created to express the importance of knowing your own rights and knowing how to use them. Alongside the performance CWBSA developed an accompanying workshop about knowing your rights as children and as women, that was presented to over 300 adolescents.

FEEDBACK FROM BENEFICIARIES & PARTNER

“The show was great and it was educational. It taught me not to discriminate each other” – Woza Moya aftercare child

“Today was amazing! So many smiling and laughing children! And smiling adults came along to watch the fun too! Well done to the clowns for bringing some joy and happiness to our Banana City. Thank you so much for coming!” –Teacher working with children in Banana City

“The sessions were fruitful and relevant, and empowering as well for us. The facilitation was great because the facilitator was giving chances and respecting our views. We also learnt that sometimes we misuse or don’t exercise our rights in a correct manner.” –  Male workshop participant, Amanzimtoti community

“Today’s workshop was useful to us, because we learnt so much more about our rights and that we have to change a negative situation to a positive one; also that it is important to make our voices heard, because we have a right of freedom of speech. My mind-set has changed because of this workshop. Thank you!” – Female workshop participant, Amanzimtoti community
