ABOUT

Working with the whole of YONECO’s cultural troupe, a really great show was made that integrated all the different skills brought by the three teams (CWBSA, Sirkus Sol and YONECO). The title of the show was ‘Dinyadira Kokoziwa’ (Happy to meet you). This artistic team performed and ran workshops for children, youth, community members, prisoners, wardens, teachers and elders in 2 different provinces of Malawi. The beneficiaries ranged from primary school children to village elders. Project Dinyadira Kokoziwa brought a great deal of happiness, joy and awareness to the communities reached in Malawi.

FEEDBACK FROM BENEFICIARIES & PARTNER

“We felt so happy to be visited because we felt included in the society since your visit, because we felt sidelined from the outside world activities at the reformatory center. We feel like we are visited by our families.”

–  Youth, Kachere Rehabilitation Centre

“I learn about the play, drama, singing I like the most. I also like the most encouraging the children to go to school.”

– Youth, Kandulu Village

“I have learned that child marriage is not good and that we should report this to the police and also call the 116 hotline, and that gender based violence is bad and it is happing in our village.”

– Youth, Chipwaila Village
