Clowns Without Borders had an extremely successful visit to Cape Town last week performing at the Drama For Life Festival and in township communities at Delft and Masiphumelele.
Thanks to everyone who helped make it possible including Drama For Life, Europcar, TASK, HOKISA, and individuals from Cape Town who donated during our July Benefit!
Our participation in the Drama For Life Festival continues this week in Pietermaritzburg and Durban from the 15-18 September.
We will also be performing throughout the Durban municipality as part of our annual involvement in Celebrate Durban bringing the celebration directly to children in marginalized areas with our show, Siyasebenza! This performance features our core staff from Pietermaritzburg, Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg, and Swaziland in a physical comedy show that explores themes of HIV/AIDS, poverty, xenophobia, gender, and violence. It has recently toured Underberg, Johannesburg, and parts of Cape Town.
