International Day for Families Cape Town
CWBSA was invited to be part of the Civil Society Organisations that were consulted by the UN Special Representative of the Secretary General (SRSG). About 30 Organisations were invited across South Africa. The meeting was about a consultation with the CSO on the commitments made by the South Africa at the Bogota Inter-Ministerial Conference in 2024. The meeting took place on the 14th May 2025 in Cape Town.
The report on the findings is still an internal document. The meeting was hosted by the UCT Children Institute. Post the meeting, the SRSG will provide a summary report of the consultation on what were the key issues for South Africa. This report has been shared with participating CSOs. The consultation was for both the government in South Africa and CSOs in South Africa in supporting them as they deliver on their commitments as the Bogota conference.
